Cindy: We’re starting a new feature here at Bookends, based on something that happened in my middle school library just now. A 7th grade student walked up and said, “Look at me! I’m on a book.” He does look like the young man on the cover of Walter Dean Myers’ book, Somewhere in the Darkness, down to the black shirt he had on. We all laughed and he enjoyed his moment of fame and checked out the book so he could read about his look-alike! We’ll be watching for more of these…
